[D] Generally MÁV works to Horgoš. The MÁV website states all services were suspended on 10 November 2015 when the track was blocked by a border fence erected by Hungary. Later modernisation work including electrification was undertaken and freight services resumed on 29 July 2022 and allegedly a passenger service re-instatement is proposed.

The Hungarian Prime Minister has agreed to sign a contract with Serbia concerning the rebuilding of this line as part of an international project to recreate a rail link between Rijeka (Croatia) and Constanta (Romania). However, any actual work depends on European funding.
