[D] All traffic has ceased as a result of the situation in Syria. One local train each way runs north of Islahiye.
(Aleppo -) Ar Ra`i CFS - Çöbanbey TCDD (- Karkamış)
[D] Freight only. This line was formally reopened on 22 December 2009, having been out of use for an unknown period. All traffic has ceased as a result of the situation in Syria.
Al-Qamishli CFS - Nusaybin TCDD
[D] Freight only. However, the line has been closed since at least September 2014 because of the war in Syria.
Preliminary work was supposed to have started on a project to construct a 120 km direct line from Nusaybin to Habur (on the Iraqi border) via Cizre and Silopi, to avoid having to cross Syria. The target for completion was 2018 although this is clearly unrealistic in view of the closure of the line to Nusaybin.
