This route around the east and south sides of Köln is used by the following trains between Köln and Düsseldorf or Solingen in order to avoid reversal at Köln Hbf. Both of these trains cross the Südbrücke after stopping at Köln Hbf, EN446 to set down only.

D1 EN446 Warszawa Wschodnia – 00:32 Berlin Hbf – Amsterdam Centraal
D1 EN447 Amsterdam Centraal – 22:28 Köln Hbf – Warszawa Wschodnia

D1: Not 29/30 June to 1/2 September (dates within Germany), when the train takes the normal route between Köln-Mülheim and Köln Hbf and runs to/from Amsterdam via Mönchengladbach.

The following train also uses this route, but only between Köln Süd and Köln-Kalk.
