There are two routes between Paneriai and Valčiūnai, a line which was used by trains serving Vaidotai staff halts (see the map below) - a direct south curve and a longer north curve, which climbs to cross over the Kaunas main line. Both curves are reversibly signalled. Rail staff confirm that their use is  variable at the signaller's discretion. Services that used these curves were withdrawn on 1 January 2015.
Radviliškis station lies between two marshalling yards, one to the NW and another, larger yard to the SE. Trains from Šiauliai run on the south side of both yards whereas those from the Vilnius direction run on the north side of the yards. The maximum separation of these running lines in the larger yard is over 300 m.

One train in each direction on the Vilnius – Stasylos line ran via the western part of the Vilnius southern avoiding line as a service to railway staff working at Vaidotai marshalling yard. The southbound service used the line on the south west side of the yard and the northbound train the line on the north east side. There are identically named staff halts at Vaidotai KIK, MRC & AIK on each separate line. However, all services to Stasylos were withdrawn on 1 January 2015, so nothing now uses this route.
