This list is based on the timetable in force from 14 June until 12 December 2020. Table numbers quoted here are from In Treno Tutt'Italia, the official Trenitalia timetable. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information. Map references relate to the Schweers+Wall Atlante ferroviario d’Italia e Slovenia.

A large number of local trains, especially in Northern Italy, and some long-distance trains, are shown in In Treno Tutt'Italia as not running after various dates in August and September. If correct this would leave some areas, particularly Lombardia, with a very sparse service, and no trains at all the Malpensa Aeroporto. The compilers think this is probably a timetable compilation error, so have not shown the trains concerned as 'dated' in the listings below. However, users are advised to check schedules carefully.

Two useful symbols exist which show the booked route for trains not calling at a station: in the middle of the train column, a vertical bar "|" means that the train passes through the station without stopping, whereas a dot "." means that the train does not pass through that station but instead takes a different route.
