This list is based on the timetable in force as at April 2015.

Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Obscure services

Please visit Passenger Train Services over Unusual Lines, which lists regular passenger trains over obscure rail routes in the British Isles.

Other sparse services

In addition to sparse services in Passenger Train Services over Unusual Lines, the following lines have a limited service of fewer than six trains a day each way five days a week:

109 Helsby - Ellesmere Port Three trains each way SuX
129 Craven Arms - Llanelli Four trains each way SuX; two trains SuO
227 Crianlarich - Fort William - Mallaig Three or four trains each way daily
239 Dingwall - Kyle of Lochalsh Four trains each way SuX; one train SuO
239 Ardgay - Thurso - Wick Four trains each way SuX; one train SuO

Deletions since previous edition
