Bucureşti Nord or Bucureşti Triaj – Pantelimon
[800] (53A3. ERA1 111A5) RO16/07
Express services on the Constanţa line run to/from Bucureşti Nord whereas local services run to/from Bucureşti Obor, which lies at the end of a branch running SW from a triangular junction at Pantelimon. A few local trains run between Bucureşti Nord and Bucureşti Obor but they reverse at Pantelimon station (which lies at the east end of the triangle) and hence do not traverse the W <=> S curve. Seasonal services from Brasov and Timisoara to the Black Sea coast that do not call at Bucureşti Nord, but call instead at Bucureşti Baneasa take the following routes:
Pajura - Bucureşti Baneasa
[300/800] (ERA2 246B4) RO16/07A Taken by trains from the Brașov line going to Constanţa and not calling at Bucureşti Nord. These trains are expected to take the northernmost of the two curves onto the line to Bucureşti Baneasa, though an alternative is available through Bucureşti Triaj which would use the southernmost curve. Table 800 is not yet printed for summer 2016 so the number and timings and of trains thought to take this route may not be correct. Confirmation of the route would be welcomed.

E | IR1945 | Mangalia - 19:46 Bucureşti Baneasa – Satu Mare |
[Chiajna] - Bucureşti Triaj - Bucureşti Baneasa
[800/900] (ERA2 246B4) RO16/07B Taken by trains from the Videle line going to Constanţa and not calling at Bucureşti Nord. These trains are expected to pass through Bucureşti Triaj and take the southernmost of the two curves onto the line to Bucureşti Baneasa. Confirmation of the route would be welcomed. Table 800 is not yet printed for summer 2016 so the number and timings of trains thought to take this route may not be correct.

Bucureşti northern freight ring: Mogoşoaia – Pasărea
[800,900] (53A3; ERA1 111A5, not shown correctly) RO16/08
There are no trains over this line in the current timetable. Summer 2016 table 800 is not yet printed.
Bucureşti northern freight ring: Bucureşti – Chitila – Ramificaţia Buciumeni - Mogoşoaia
[700] (53A3; ERA2 246B4) RO16/08A
From 1 July 2015 some R services on timetable 700 to/from Bucureşti Nord and Mogoşoaia call additionally at Chitila, unfortunately these calls are not shown in the printed timetable only the online timetable. Journey times to Mogoşoaia have been lengthened since the 2014/15 timetable so are no longer a guide. IR services from Bucureşti to Galați have extended journey times between Bucureşti and Aeroport PO, which may mean they also take this route. The compiler travelled on an R service not calling at Chitila which was also diverted and speculates that all trains may now take the longer route.
Confirmation would be welcomed by the compilers.
Palas – Constanţa via goods line
[800] (53B3, not shown; ERA1 111C5, not shown fully) RO16/09
This line diverges at Palas and allows access to either the southern end of Constanţa station or directly onto the Mangalia line, the latter curve not being used by any passenger trains. Although there would appear to be no reason why any train should not use this route, in practice only some summer only through trains between Bucuresţi (or beyond) and Mangalia (and vice versa) have been observed to take it. Table 800 is not yet printed for summer 2016. R942, the summer only Satu Mare - Mangalia train, took this route in 2009 and IR1862, the 22:05 (Sun) Iași - Mangalia in July 2013. Further reports would be welcomed by the compilers.

Lunca Budieni to Copăcioasa "double track" section
[202] (49B1; ERA1 108A1 not shown on either) RO16/11
Although shown on CFR schematics as double track, the section between Lunca Budieni to Copăcioasa is actually two single lines each over 5km long and up to 1200 metres apart with Budieni halt on the southernmost line. All passenger trains nominally take the southern route, but fast services from Târgu Jiu to Filiaşi with no requirement to stop at Budieni have been known to take the northern route.
