North Macedonia - Lines with Obscure or Sparse passenger services
This list is based on the timetable dated 15 December 2019 to 12 December 2020. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.
Other Sparse Services
The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally in this country) - fewer than three trains each way on at least three days a week - or do not run each weekday:
- Tabanovci - Preševo (Serbia) - there has been no passenger service over this section since 1 October 2018. Two trains pairs are shown as operating from mid June to mid September 2020, but whether these
actually run remains to be seen. See Border Crossings: North Macedonia - Serbia for more details.
- Veles - Kočani
- Đorče Petrov - Volkovo - Hani i Elezit/Đeneral Janković (Kosovo). The trains are shown in the 2019-2020 timetable, but confirmation is awaited that they actually operate. Note that during 2018 operation of this train was extremely unreliable and the train was usually cancelled. Prospective passengers should enquire locally as the presence of the train on departure indicators at Skopje is no guarantee that it will actually run.
- Đorče Petrov - Kičevo
- Gevgelija - Idomeni (Greece) - suspended from 21 August 2015. Since then, services between Gevgelija and Thessaloníki have been provided by bus. See Border Crossings: Greece - North Macedonia for more details.
