Besançon-Franche-Comté TGV east curve

(ERA 31C3; 67D4) FR19/401

This curve was used by direct TGVs between Mulhouse and Besançon Viotte. There are no such services in the current timetable. This may be a temporary situation owing the the number of services being reduced whilst major engineering work is taking place at Lyon Part Dieu.

Trains between Besançon-Franche-Comté TGV station and Besançon Viotte use the west curve.

Lines used on an occasional basis for engineering work diversions

Raccordement de Saincaize (Nevers avoiding line): La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois – Saincaize

(ERA 31C1; 69B2) FR19/200

There are no regular services over this west to south curve but it is used for diversions when the line north of Nevers is blocked. The following train has been routed this way on some dates since February 2019, taking about 20 minutes longer and presumably routed via Les Aubrais. Look for days when the train calls at Saincaize instead of Nevers.
